The WHO they came, they saw, they conquered Tampa, Florida at the Amalie Arena on the first night of the US tour. Joan Jett opened and it was a great combination. Joan's NYC hard rocking, punk like appearance and the raging WHO. Roger Daltrey is 71 years old! What an incredible voice for a man of 71 he can still do that scream at the end of the roll drum In "Won't Get Fooled Again". Pete Townshend proved why he just may be the greatest living rock and roll guitarist alive today. Townshend has always had a way of dominating an arena or stadium with his screaming guitar. He did nothing less than dominate Tampa on night one of what appears to be an incredible final farewell tour to those of us fans who have loved them for decades. The WHO ran through their entire career even bringing out extremely obscure songs for deep, deep fans. They played a Quick One, sort of a mini rock opera, pre-Tommy which Pete explained had only been played live once in their entire career and that was in the Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus. This means the WHO are keenly aware of the absolute fanatics that attend the concerts and are not above rewarding these fans with a nugget of rock gold and history by taking a chance and playing something like A Quick One. I certainly hope Roger can sustain that scream from Won't Get Fooled Again. They also did crowd pleasers such as Who Are You? and Love Reign O'er Me and many others. Here is a great video a fan put together of the event. I can only hope that the Rolling Stones can match this concert with their upcoming tour of America! Mick and Keith take a look at this and see if you can top it!

Fleetwood Mac Returns to Florida at the Amway Center in the Magic Kingdom Orlando!!

What a spectacular return to Florida did we witness as Fleetwood Mac returned to Florida to Orlando and the gorgeous Amway Center in downtown Orlando. It was good to be back where I started from. My first home in Florida was Orlando and I saw my first concert at the old Orlando Arena but the newer Amway Center is a much better venue. The usual suspects Stevie Nicks, Lindsey Buckingham, John McVie, Mick Fleetwood and the return of the amazing Christine McVie made this a very, very special night! Well let Stevie tell ya all about it!

Mick Fleetwood was taken ill for the first time in 40 years of playing with Fleetwood Mac. Nothing has ever stopped Fleetwood in 40 some years of rock and roll. Here is the Associated Press account of what happened: The Associated Press UPDATED: 01/18/2015 08:05:42 PM EST0 COMMENTS LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — Fleetwood Mac had to cut a Nebraska concert about an hour short Saturday night after drummer Mick Fleetwood became ill. Stevie Nicks told the crowd of roughly 14,000 at Lincoln's Pinnacle Bank Arena that Fleetwood was throwing up backstage before the end of the 90-minute show. A drum technician played "Go Your Own Way" for Fleetwood. Then Christine McVie played piano and sang "Songbird" with guitarist Lindsey Buckingham before the band ended the show. Fleetwood Mac said Sunday in a statement online that it plans to perform its next scheduled show in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on Tuesday.

Robin Zander of Cheap Trick Performs at Benefit for Local Tampa Bay area guitarist George Harris

Robin Zander of Cheap Trick performed in Clearwater, Florida for a bunch of rowdy but very generous bikers at a benefit for local Tampa Bay guitarist George Harris. The benefit raised at last count over $30,000.00 for George and his family. George is suffering from several physical impairments and has been ill for a while. The Tampa Bay musical community came together to raise money for George! This is an exclusive clip of Robin and his son performing the Eagle's Classic Peaceful Easy Feeling. While the clip is somewhat amateur taken by a friend it is the only known clip of Robin and son performing live in Tampa Bay. Enjoy! I know I was blown away by the entire show. There is serious talent in Tampa Bay and you can bet that soon you will here more of some of the great musicians that played that night.
